Overview

Corsair XMS TWIN3X2048-1333C9DHX, is a 2 x 1GB Kit aimed at the owners of mid specification PC's and self build enthusiasts including Gamers although the 2GB size of this Kit would not interest most. These are compatible with almost every AMD and Intel system and will run in Dual Channel should you have a motherboard that can support it. The XMS PC3-10600 range of memory has over a dozen different size Kits with numerous combinations. This particular set has the DHX heatsinks fitted and looks better than the standard XMS3.

Our Review

XMS3 memory is a step above the Value Select Range but not quite Dominator. This Kit is fitted with the much larger DHX Heatsinks and do run cooler than the standard XMS3 although through our tests it seemed that this was the only difference between the two kits. The TWIN3X2048-1333C9DHX sets are designed to work in all motherboards, AMD or Intel that have 2 memory channels, but although this memory is aimed high enough to interest Gamers, the size of the kit is far too small. It does however look more the part for a Gaming system than the standard XMS3 and it still has the same reliability as the rest of the range and is highly compatible with most systems.

Michael Dumas	I needed a 2GB Kit and preferred these, they just look better than the other Corsair and far better than the other makes I looked at.
Gerald McDonald	I fitted this kit in my self built midi tower, they run just fine but the heatsinks get in the way of the IDE Cable from my DVD drive.
