If you want an improved performance over standard memory but dont want to have to play with BIOS settings and you dont have a motherboard that is incredibly fussy then the Corsair XMS range is the way forward. This particular kit is large enough for any Windows install and definately any Linux install with plenty spare for you to do what you want. They dont look imposing as the Dominators or the Vengeance DIMMS from Corsair but they dont look like cheap rubbish either.
